As I write, I am just coming off of a hectic month of travel and have just celebrated another birthday. This is normally the time of the year that I find myself in deep reflection. I think about my life, my experiences, and the wisdom and lessons that I have learned along the way. In fact, I also pause to give thanks for where I am in my journey and for everything that has helped shape me into the person that I am today. This year I feel an even deeper sense of appreciation for the gift of life and the growth and evolution that is happening in my life. I want to talk to you about fulfillment and I hope these insights will empower you to embrace a life of infinite possibilities!
Recognize that you do not have to live your entire life dissatisfied. As many of you know, 2023 has been an amazing year for me. I started this year with very clear intentions. One of those intentions was to experience more joy and more peace in my life this year. While many obstacles have attempted to threaten this intention, I have committed to living a fulfilled life. What I know from experience is that you cannot create a life of fulfillment until you first recognize the areas of your life where you are dissatisfied. Too often we live in reactionary mode instead of response mode. In other words, we give away our power and we assume that life is happening to us instead of realizing that we are happening to life. Any area of your life where you are dissatisfied you have the power to alter. Or you have the power to alter your attitude towards it. Stop living your life dominated by dissatisfaction and instead start designing the life that you desire. It will be one of the most important decisions that you ever make.
Realize that more is available to you. Have you ever had that gnawing feeling on the inside that there is more to your life? If you have not, then I encourage you to keep living because you will reach that moment. I call it the moment of intersection where you must make a very important choice. What choice is that? The choice to settle into mediocrity or the decision to stretch for more in your life. At the start of this year, I set some big goals and very clear intentions for my life. Honestly, it was a bit frightening and very uncomfortable. I found myself pushed beyond my comfort zone in ways that I have never been pushed before. However, I realized that in order to get more I must be willing to become more. You can settle for the status quo but you will live as a second-class version of yourself. More is always available to you but the mind must adjust to accommodate it. As you open your mind to more, you embrace new possibilities and you are empowered to engineer a new reality.
Resolve to embrace more in your life. It is one thing to realize that more is available. It is another thing to resolve within yourself to embrace more in your life. Many people will read this statement and agree mentally; however, they fail to agree volitionally. In other words, you must be willing to engage your will in order to embrace more in your life. Simply knowing that more is available is not enough. At some point, you have to get up and take action and pursue the life that you desire. Often times we are unfulfilled because we are unwilling to pursue the life that we were born for. What does more look like for you? Is it a life shift, a career change, financial empowerment, or meaningful relationships? I do not know what more looks like for you. However, I do know that if you do not define what more is then you can never design the life that you truly want. Stop sitting back and waiting for something to happen. Now is the time to will more in every area of your life. You will never embrace what you are unwilling to pursue.
Reflect a life of infinite possibilities. As I have been pushed and challenged to live beyond limits this year, I have discovered new life, new passion, new energy, new hope, and new possibilities. I am not saying that it is easy or that it has been comfortable. At the same time, I have found new strength and a new passion for life that I never had before. When you dare to embrace more for your life, you will become a reflection of infinite possibilities. In other words, you will become a model to the world around you of what happens when you have the courage to pursue more in life. Your life does not have to be mundane and boring. Your life can be meaningful and filled with breakthroughs. When you unearth your potential, you unlock a realm of infinite possibilities and opportunities. Most of all, you discover unlimited capacity within you to bring change and transformation to the world around you. When you reach for more you reflect a life of no limitations and no boundaries!
