First of all, I would like to welcome you to the fourth quarter! Can you believe that we are in the final months of 2025? This year has gone by extremely fast, and I hope you have been intentional about how you use your time and that you have remained focused on your goals. As someone who consults and mentors leaders around the world, this is normally the point in the year when many people are shocked and forced to face the reality of their inaction and mediocrity. Regardless of what end of the spectrum you are on, you still have time to hit the reset button, make adjustments, and take action in the direction of your dreams. I hope these insights will empower you to move towards change!

  1. Change is undeniable. As much as we may try to avoid change, the reality is that change is unavoidable. 2025 has been an amazing year for me. At the same time, 2025 has also been one of the most challenging years of my life. As I have been forced to come face-to-face with the reality of change, I have also had to confront the truth that I cannot run, hide, or escape change in my life. Change comes whether you are ready or not. Change comes whether you expect it or don’t expect it. Most of all, change does not disappear because of your denial. When you understand that, you will stop living in denial of change and start moving towards change in your life. What I know to be true is that denial is the seed for a disempowered life. Denial is ultimately the womb of defeat.

  2. Change cannot enter a closed mind. For a portion of my life, I lived adjusted to an old paradigm. While this may not seem like a bad thing, the problem with living adjusted to an old paradigm is that you have no room for new possibilities. There is nothing more destructive to your life than restricted thinking. How do you know you have a closed mind? You know you have a closed mind when you are argumentative, combative, resistant, and even unresponsive to change. Before you say that this is not you, I want you to take an honest look at your life. Do you like everything easy? Are you quickly upset when life becomes uncomfortable? Or have you caused a scene when you were challenged to do something new or different? The danger in having a closed mind is that it restricts one to a life of monotony and mediocrity. You cannot grow in crippled or constrained environments. You cannot afford to be close-minded. It will rob you of growth, development, and evolution. Most of all, a closed mind will rob you of change and advancement. A closed mind will always engineer a limited reality.

  3. Change will demand that you get uncomfortable. Honestly, we are all creatures of habit. Unfortunately, being a creature of habit can become a ceiling to change in your life. I will be the first to admit that I do not like change at all. 2025 has brought some incredible victories and some humbling losses as well. More than any other time in my life, I have been forced to get uncomfortable. If you are going to upgrade your life, then you must have the courage to get uncomfortable. To get uncomfortable, you have to be willing to step outside of your comfort zone, do something different, and be willing to lean into the unknown. Essentially, if you do what you have always done, then you will continue to get the same results. We do not like discomfort because it causes us to leave the shores of the familiar for the great unknown. Ultimately, we do not like discomfort because we are not always sure of the direction that our lives will take. Personally, I am not fond of discomfort because I cannot calculate the precise destination. Regardless of your reasons, discomfort is the only way that you will unlock the next dimension in your life. From personal experience, I can tell you that it is only in discomfort that you discover the life that you were born for.

  4. Change must be invited into your life. In closing, we are in the final months of 2025. While ninety plus days may seem like a long time, the reality is that we have the holidays coming as well. This means that you do not have nearly as much time as you think you do. The greatest breakthroughs of my life came from being uncomfortable. Furthermore, the greatest shifts happen in my life when I dare to invite change into my life. As we have transitioned from summer to fall, now is the time for you to make the transition in your life. A life without transition is a life without development. A life without development is a life without enrichment. A life without enrichment is a life of insignificance. As a person who has always been highly resistant to change, I have learned to invite change into my life. First of all, it is important to note that one of the only constants in life is change. Secondly, if I do not invite change into my life, I cannot evolve and grow. Thirdly, if I do not evolve and grow, then I cannot maximize my potential. Finally, if I cannot maximize my potential, then I cannot be of value to the world. In order to invite change into your life, you must be willing to confront your fears, silence your doubts, lean towards change, and have the courage to step into the great unknown. When you invite change into your life, you invite breakthroughs, shifts, tipping points, and defining moments that create a head-on collision with prophetic destiny. When we invite change into our lives, we accept the invitation to greatness.
